Moses’ Torah Privacy Policy
Effective October 5, 2026
Moses’ Torah is a Torah reader and study app. It works without an account, and the developer does not run any servers that receive your data. The app is free and supported by ads from Google AdMob. This policy explains what stays on your device, what the ad provider receives, and the choices you have.
The short version
- No account, no sign-up, and no analytics.
- Your bookmarks, reading position, settings and flashcard progress are stored only on your device.
- Ads are provided by Google AdMob, which receives device and usage information to show and measure ads. Ads are personalized only if you allow it.
- Ads never appear in the reader, in word lookups, or in the companion texts.
- A one-time “Remove Ads” purchase turns ads off. The text, lexicon and search work fully offline.
- We never sell or rent data.
Data stored on your device
Moses’ Torah saves your bookmarks, the book and chapter you were reading, your reading settings (view mode, theme, text size and similar), and your flashcard progress on your device. None of this is sent to the developer. Deleting the app removes it.
The Torah text, lexicon, translation and search index are included in the app, so reading, word lookups and searches happen on your device and are not sent anywhere.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
Ads appear on the search results, alphabet, flashcard, library, bookmarks and settings screens, and only when your device is online. To show ads, the app uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK. Google may collect and process:
- device information, such as device model, operating system version, and language;
- your IP address, which can indicate an approximate location;
- the advertising identifier (IDFA), but only if you allow tracking when the app asks;
- information about the ads you see and tap; and
- diagnostic information about how ads perform.
Google uses this information to deliver ads, limit how often you see an ad, measure ad performance, and prevent fraud. If you allow tracking (and, where required, give consent), ads may be personalized. If you don't, you will see non-personalized ads. Google's use of this data is described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services and in Google's Privacy Policy.
Ads are restricted to content suitable for general audiences. Ads about alcohol, gambling, dating, politics and religion are blocked.
Your choices
- Tracking: the app asks once whether it may track you for advertising. You can change this anytime in iPhone Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.
- Consent (EEA, UK and Switzerland): you are asked for consent before personalized ads are shown. You can review or change your choice in the app under Settings › Privacy choices.
- U.S. state privacy rights: to opt out of personalized advertising, choose “Ask App Not to Track” (or turn tracking off in iPhone Settings), or buy Remove Ads. For any other request, contact us.
- Remove Ads: the one-time purchase stops all ads and ad requests.
Remove Ads purchase
The optional Remove Ads purchase is processed by Apple. We receive no payment details. The app checks whether you own the purchase with Apple, on your device.
Children
Moses’ Torah is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update the effective date above. Significant changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
